Dr. Pamela Cipriano, is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner and the President of The Practice of Health and Wellness located in Thomaston, Connecticut. Dr. Cipriano is clinically trained in Internal Medicine, Functional Medicine, Lyme Disease and associated diseases. Dr. Cipriano trained under Dr. Richard Horowitz, Lyme Expert, reflective of her extensive and accomplished career in medicine.
Dr. Cipriano received her diploma in nursing from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Waterbury, Connecticut, before going on to complete her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Central Connecticut State University. She later attended the University of Connecticut where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society, before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Cipriano also has a post-doctoral certificate in functional medicine.
Throughout her career in medicine, Dr. Cipriano has served diverse patient populations, providing care at health facilities across Connecticut. In addition to her clinical practice, she is a clinical professor for nurse practitioner and physician assistant students at Yale University.
Dr. Cipriano is affiliated with Hartford Healthcare and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She is a member of the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Connecticut Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.
